A nice new dungeon crawler. I included it in the video alongside other C64 games released in October. I hope you enjoy the video.

Great! thank you Retro Gaming Dino, very much appreciated

I tried version 1.2 and it is harder with less potions, at least with the warrior. Will try another class later tomorrow.

Thank you. I've been busy based on your playthrough and feedback trying to rebalance. It is harder, and the potions have been reduced a bit, but there are more complicated mechanics at play behind the scenes. I think I will post a devlog on how I'm testing this, as it should be interesting, but for now Cleric is the easiest by far, Warrior and Mage are joint second, and Rogue, well I love the class but I'm trying my hardest to make it viable.

I tried the cleric and I won. The game is really easier with the heal spell. This time ? 61393 points!

I'll try the mage next time.

Tried the mage and I went to the end of the game without a lot of problems. And I got a bigger score, 63429 points.

The only boring part? Refilling my mana (magic?) points to use firebolt.

Nice. thank you for the feedback, will be working on some re-balancing idea's over the next few days, with a version 1.3 to follow.

Ok. I tried Rogue and died on level 29. I wonder what will be re-balanced? The game is fair, not too hard not too easy IMHO. But I'll try version 1.3 on my spare time.

Thank you. Have released v1.3 , what's updated here: Deep Delve 64 v1.3 - Deep Delve 64: Commodore 64 (C64) Roguelike by wirelessjava

nice!

Great roguelike, even if it is a little too easy with the warrior and too many potions.

Very easy to control the game. It took me less than 3 minutes to understand how everything work.

Made it to the end with a score of 50524 points.

See attached screenshot.

Thank you for the feedback, very much appreciated. Will be working on it some more to get the balance a little better, more content, enemies, items, levels etc. kind regards Paul

You're welcome. IMHO, monsters count is ok. Maybe a little less potions. I ended my play with 6 or 7 great potions... And levels? 50 will be a good amount. More will be annoying.

To compile C code on C64 you should try Oscar64. Generated code is up to 6 times faster than with cc65.

OK, nice. Will definitely take a look. Thanks for the tip, much appreciated
